WHY WE STARTED MAKING NATURAL WINES FROM OUR GRAPES?

In 2015 we left our jobs as consultants to give life to a project of our own: to change the fate of the grapes of our farms, which up to then had been sold on the cheap to industry, and to accord them the dignity they deserve, producing low intervention wines expression of our “terroir”.

WHAT ARE NATURAL WINES?

IN FEW WORDS, made only from GRAPES juice…

…“wines in which nothing is added and nothing taken away during the winemaking process”

(quote by alice feiring)

Some prefer the definitions “low-intervention” wine, or “naked” wine, or “raw” wine, or “live” wine or “natty” wine.

We love to call it “PURE FERMENTED JUICE”.

Natural wine is made only with organic/biodynamic grapes, without adding or subtracting anything in the cellar — no additives, no chemicals, no aromas, no selected yeasts, low sulfur, that’s it.

OUR WORLD

OUR NATURAL WINES

We make minimum intervention low sulfites wines only with our native Sicilian organic grapes grown between Alcamo, Camporeale and Monreale; areas all located in the north-west part of Sicily.

Grillo, Zibibbo, Nero d'Avola, Catarratto and Nerello Mascalese are the varieties we grow.

MODUS BIBENDI, GLOU GLOU AND KATAMACERATO

We produce one Traditional method sparkling wine from Catarratto, two Orange wines (“Bianco macerato” and KATAmacerato), a Red wine from Nero d’Avola, a White wine from Grillo and a Glou Glou red wine from Nerello Mascalese.

WE ALSO MAKE OLIVE OIL & HONEY

EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL

We extract our best olive oil from the olive groves cultivated near Alcamo.

It is made from the fruit of olive trees of the Cerasuola, Nocellara del Belìce and Biancolilla varieties.

HONEY

Our bees fly over the uncultivated lands around the Alcamo olive grove, just a few kilometres from the sea.

Here they collect the nectar from Sulla clover, Cardoon, Dill and Eucalyptus flowers and from a myriad of wild flowers.
