OUR NATURAL WINERY AND THE ORGANIC FARM VINEYARDS

THE VINEYARDS OF alcamo

We grow Grillo and Zibibbo grapes in Contrada Fico, 3 km from the sea in the area round Alcamo (3 hectares). These grapes are used for the blend of our Modus Bibendi Bianco Macerato. It is a fairly well-ventilated and warm area and both grape varieties are usually harvested towards the end of August.

THE VINEYARDS OF camporeale

The Grillo and Nero d’Avola grapes that we use to produce the mono-varietals (Grillo for the Modus Bibendi Bianco and Nero d’Avola for the Modus Bibendi Rosso) are grown in Camporeale, in Contrada Valdibella, 20 km from the sea (4 hectares). It is cooler than the Alcamo area, and so the Grillo is harvested at the beginning of September and the Nero d’Avola in mid-September.

THE VINEYARDS OF monreale

Catarratto and Nerello Mascalese grapes are grown in Monreale, in Contrada Virzì, 15 km from the sea (2 hectares). The Catarratto is used in a blend with the Grillo and Zibibbo from Alcamo to produce the Modus Bibendi Bianco Macerato, while the Nerello Mascalese is used to produce the mono-varietal GLOU GLOU Rosso. The Nerello Mascalese is harvested around the beginning of September while the Catarratto is harvested in mid-September.

THE VINEYARDS on mountain alcamo

The last marvelous land we were lucky to buy in 2021.

At 650 mt. a.s.l. on the mount Bonifato of Alcamo, we grow Catarratto, on a beautiful plain on the Mountain just in front of Castellammare del Golfo. These grapes are used to make our Classic method sparkling wine and our Katamacerato (more mature grapes). It is a well-ventilated and fresh area. The grapes for the sparkling wine are usually collected on end of august, the Katamacerato grapes are collected on end September.
